The ending of support for Windows 10 and the move to Windows 11 has brought some issues to the fore regarding older laptops and desktop computers (PCs).
In a nutshell, Windows 11 requires that the hardware has the following fetaures:
64-bit processor (1 GHz+, 2+ cores) from approved lists (Intel 8th gen+, AMD Ryzen 3000+), 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, UEFI Secure Boot, and TPM 2.0 security.
Whilst, many modern laptops and PCs will meet these requirements, older machines will not and, as a rseult, will fail the pre-checks through Windows Update or during a fresh install.
Should you be in this position, it may be possible for us to complete the install for you. This may require upgrading from a hard disk drive (HDD) to a newer and quicker Solid State Drive (SSD) and also an increase in RAM (if necessary and subject to hardware limitations). These are things we can discuss with you prior to any work commencing.
